Over the past couple of months there has been a lot of hard work going on behind the scenes; building up our next-generation system. I am proud to be able to take the opportunity to announce our brand new league, the Universal Gaming League, or UNGL.
The UNGL System has been built from the ground up as we strive to provide users with blistering performance and we now have the ability to cater for a World-Wide audience, in that it allows for a variety of time zones and in the near future will support site translations. Improvements to other features have also been made, the new News and Forum system being just one of them.
Temporarily some features will remain the same, however we have assured that we are in a strong position to both expand upon and improve the website for years to come, allowing us to progress with the times.
The European Gaming League was started in August 2009, and since then we have learnt a lot. We will be taking the experience, both the good and the bad, with us into UNGL and hope to use this knowledge to improve both the website, the system and the overall experience for you, the users. One of ways we plan on improving this for you is through clamping down on cheaters, trolls, spammers and default hunters, we want UNGL to provide a good community environment for you to enjoy whilst gaming.
We have had a great deal of fun running EUGL, however it's time to take things to the next level. We want to give the competitive gaming community the international unification that it has been missing, and crying out for.
We will be running more cups, recruiting more admins and expanding our boundaries past Europe and into the Americas, Africa, Asia and Australasia.
We hope you enjoy our new site!
